Procès-verbal

The Managing Committee of the IFMGA passed the following resolution on October 6th 2023:

All No-Ski mountain guides who have completed their ski training, with final examination and diploma, in an IFMGA SKI country must be reported to the IFMGA via their No-Ski home association (Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Nepal) as soon as possible. There is an exception if the respective mountain guide is accepted as a new member in the host country of the ski training (or another IFMGA member association). In this case, the host country will make the appropriate notification to the IFMGA.

Since the IFMGA does its utmost to bring as many no-ski mountain guides as possible to the skiing diploma, the applicant will be given for free the corresponding new IFMGA card as a small token of appreciation after successful completion of the ski qualification.

With immediate effect, all No-Ski associations, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Nepal are required to maintain, apart from the register of aspirants, two separate professional registers, one for the No-Ski mountain guides and one for the fully trained IFMGA mountain guides. This will ensure that all titles and qualifications are correctly displayed in the public database on our new website.

Thank you for your precious cooperation

Yours sincerely,

Christoph Schaub
